Dr. Carter Andersen

Optometrist

Dr. Carter Andersen is a graduate of Southern California College of Optometry and has been practicing primary care optometry in Santa Barbara and Goleta since 2011. A native of Santa Barbara, Dr. Andersen is an alumnus of both UC Santa Barbara and San Marcos High School. Prior to earning his doctorate degree, he completed externships at the Veterans Affairs Hospital and SW Blind Rehabilitation Center in Tucson, Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital, and The Laser Center in Seattle. He was first introduced to optometry while spending 3 months doing volunteer work in Indonesia.


He is licensed to prescribe therapeutic agents, certified to treat glaucoma in patients over 18, and provides co-management for pre-and post-operative care in LASIK and cataract patients. Dr. Andersen loves getting out into the ocean along the beautiful Santa Barbara coastline and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Dr. John Krochmal

Optometrist

Dr. Krochmal has been practicing in Santa Barbara and Ventura county since 2020 and is experienced in all areas of primary care optometry as well as refractive surgery management.

 

A southern California native, Dr. Krochmal earned his B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of California Irvine, then pursued his Doctorate of Optometry at UC Berkeley School of Optometry where he graduated with distinction on the Dean's Honor List. 

 

In addition to the UC Berkeley Eye Center, Dr. Krochmal has completed externships with strong emphasis in ocular disease at the Pacific Islands VA, the New Mexico Crownpoint IHS Healthcare Facility, and clinics throughout Marin County CA. Dr. Krochmal is also passionate about giving back to underserved communities and has participated in optometry mission trips to Taiwan and Nicaragua where he provided much needed vision care and resources to those with limited access to healthcare. 

When he is not in the clinic, you can find him out surfing, training for his next race, or traveling.

Dr. Viktoria Goldenberg

Optometrist

Dr. Viktoria Goldenberg received her medical degree from First Medical Institution in Tashkent, Uzbekistan where she centered her studies on general and surgical eye care and worked as an ophthalmologist for five years. Following her immigration to the US, she enrolled and later graduated from the New England College of Optometry in 2004 with a focus in contact lenses and ocular diseases.
